AFM Writer Critique Groups

Have you written anything lately? Maybe you need a critique group.

The Austin Film Meet Critique groups were created for active writers who want to share their work on an on-going basis with a small group of regularly-attending, focused writers in an intimate setting. These groups help our members develop a solid support network of individuals who will be able to follow your progress through the various stages, and possibly even lasting writer partnerships.

Groups meet weekly or bi-weekly at various Austin locations.

Please bring at least 3 printed copies of a scene or two from the script you are working on to share. Writers will exchange work and offer constructive feedback. You may also want to bring your laptop or notepad.

We understand that sometimes life can interfere with your time to write, however continued inactivity may result in your removal from the group. You should be making progress between critique group meetings.

It is free to participate, but you must be an Austin Film Meet IndieAustin member.  Membership Info

If you are interested in participating as a writer, please email your name, contact info, area of town, availability and writing focus to: me@austinfilmmeet.com. Make sure to tell us that you’re emailing about a Critique Group.
