Q.   How can I promote my self/film/project to the Austin Film Meet group?

A.  Sign up for Austin Film Meet mailing list. Coming soon.

Q.  What is the Austin Film Meet Google Group for?
A.   Austin Film Meet encourages discussion through a Google Group Listserv. From the “discussions” page you can read all the previous emails/posts and you can also manage your subscription to send all emails as they are sent, or a daily digest, or no emails at all. Whatever your preference. Please read the Listserv Guidelines first.

Q.   How can I stay updated on the latest auditions, crew calls and industry news?
A.   We recommend ShortFilmTexas.com and Dan Eggleston’s AustinFilmCasting Yahoo group. We do not maintain a place to post cast & crew calls, because we have decided to work in harmony with other community efforts. Rather than merely duplicating the efforts of our friends, we have chosen to work WITH them, instead of against them.

Q.   How can I submit my feedback about Austin Film Meet?
A.   You can submit your comments, questions, feedback and suggestions directly to H.Cherdon at me@austinfilmmeet.com. We do our best to incorporate into our programs as many member ideas and suggestions as possible. We appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

Q.   How did the Austin Film Meet start?
A.   Originally, Austin Film Meet was created as a group on Meetup.com that attempted to make a film as a group. When the group leader suddenly moved, Mike Rembis took over and the group became a casual mixer. In February 2009, Mike moved to Florida and started the Clearwater Film and Music Festival and left H.Cherdon in charge of what was to become the current Austin Film Meet.
