Austin Film Meet members are treated to top-notch perks. You’ll get a warm fuzzy feeling knowing you’re helping support such a valuable organization, plus exclusive discounts on events, workshops, meetings, and other Austin-area events. Membership also comes with certain responsibilities. Members set a standard for professionalism and integrity in a newly forming industry. We represent a balance between the old and the new ways of filmmaking and we welcome in a new era of opportunity for makers and supporters of indie film and new media.

To clarify our expectations and standards of integrity, we have created a Code of Ethics. Please read it fully and ask for clarification on any points that you do not understand. Please make sure you agree to these standards before signing up.

Our Goals:

• To host a series of Equipment Show and Tell events in 2012.
• To bring in notable guest presenters for speaker panels on special topics in 2012.
• To offer a range of workshops for indie filmmakers on a variety of useful topics.
• To acquire a space where our members can gather and grow. We would like to equip it with a small studio that would be available to our members at a strong discount. Read about the Studio here.

Membership Requirements:

• Members must agree to honor and practice the AFM Code of Ethics
• Members must maintain physical attendance of at least one AFM Event in the previous year. (Be sure to sign in at events!)
• Members must be current on annual dues
