H.Cherdon Bedford – Executive Director
Creative Superhero at Humblebee Media
For as long as she’s been, Creative Superhero H.Cherdon has demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for the creative arts. Her art and literature, stories and poems, have won her numerous awards and gained her national attention, especially for the children’s picture books she both writes and illustrates. Also a talented stage performer, she has appeared in more than 40 stage productions, two performing arts touring troupes, several short films and a few PSAs. Her producer powers include organization, presentation, big-picture perspective, unforgettable memory and maybe even a little obsessive-compulsive behavior sometimes. Driven and self-motivated, Cherdon excels as as artist, director, photographer, web designer, writer, actress, illustrator, producer, bookmaker, entrepreneur… and creative superhero. As the Executive Director for the Austin Film Meet, Cherdon reaches out to fellow filmmakers and artists. She thrives as a “handyman” for creative challenges, a real-life Creative Superhero for hire, using love and creativity to touch lives and projects. Cherdon is based in East Austin where she lives with her fish, four kitties and her partner Brandon Boggs.
Brian Morgan – Logistics Coordinator
A graduate of the RTF program at the UT Austin, Brian’s production company Missing Shoe Films is set to start production on a thrilling short film called Coded. He has written several screen plays and produced and directed over 10 shorts. He has been involved in the Austin film community for a couple of years and learned the in’s and outs of the unique character that is Austin. He has grown up all over the Northwest and developed a unique perspective from the many places he has lived. These experiences frequently wind up in his work and offer a fresh and original view of characters and the stories that surround them.

Brandon Boggs – Technical Director
A graduate of UT of Austin, Brandon has called Austin home for more than 16 years. For the past 8 years, he has been self-employed as IT and networking consultant. Because Brandon and technology are such good friends, he can work wonders on computers and all things digital. He is an active director of photography, camera operator, digital imaging tech and gaffer.

Tina Byram – Membership Director & Business Liaison
Tina Davis Byram is a graduate of California State University Long Beach with a degree in Film and Electronics Media with an emphasis in film studies, production management, and alternative media. Influenced by Avant-garde and non-linier filmmaking, she wrote, produced and directed the experimental short film, “Anthony’s Confession.” Next, she produced a coming-of-age short film, “No Control Over Me” based on the personal experiences of a young man dealing with the truth about being gay. Tina is currently producing a multi-media promotional campaign called “The Lucky Betties” and is forming November Media, a multi-platform production and publishing company.
Anthony Spears – Social Media Manager
A young film professional in the making, Anthony has been working with art for most of his life. He is the front runner behind Nickel Star Films. He started his film career in High School and College where he started learning animation. He moved to Austin, Texas in 2008 and started attending Austin Film Meet events. There he met a few screen writers and went to a couple of screen play workshops. He started writing scripts of his own until about 2010 when he started working on other film projects. He wanted to create his own studios from the ground up and see what the adventure would be like. In 2011 Anthony started Nickel Star Films. He created his first web series. “Hangin With a Cholo,” which can be viewed on this website and on our YouTube channel. He joined Austin Film Meet’s volunteer staff in 2011 and became their social media manager. He is still working on projects of his own accord while helping out Austin Film Meet to help them succeed in their mission to help local Texas filmmakers.
Brian Briskey – Market Research Director
Brian Briskey holds the professional title “Producer of Marketing and Distribution” and works to bridge media projects with a target audience through social media, organizational outreach, and two-way marketing. His greatest talents come from his pragmatic solutions and grassroots approach to audience engagement.
Brian’s success over the last several years in Austin come from his formative years in production as a team leader for media teams with the U.S. Army at the rank of Sergeant. His roles varied over a seven-year enlistment between broadcast journalist, field reporter, and production manager/director of propaganda campaigns overseas. Brian’s tours include Iraq, Afghanistan, Cyprus, and Honduras with notable honors and awards including the Volunteer Service Medal for works performed with orphanages in Central America.
As person, Brian is humorous without provocation and keeps level during tough situations. He spends his vacation time paragliding and his free time dancing salsa or trying new cultures and foods. A successful product launch followed by flip-flops, Black Butte porter beer, and sushi make a fantastic day.
Amanda Farmer – Publicity Director
Joel Valle – Blogger
Joel Valle went to the New York Film Academy and also has a Degree in Quality Control in Management. Having knowledge on filmmaking and business has given him insights on how to approach independent filmmaking from an entrepreneurial standpoint. He currently runs his blog www.makeamovienow.net a site dedicated to merge filmmaking and entrepreneurship that filmmakers can use to better market themselves or build their own businesses around filmmaking.
