Brooke Ostrom is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi with a degree in Communication – Media Studies. She moved to Austin to participate in festivals, gain more media production experience, and get lost in a new city. Brooke is interested in all things media and activism, with much of her work involving nonprofits to get the word out on causes and activate people to make change. Brooke was the recipient of the Outstanding Scholar in Media Studies award from the School of Arts, Media, and Communication at TAMU-CC after finishing a semester at LogoTV doing digital production work for RuPaul’s Drag Race. She recently received a DoSomething.org scholarship for involvement in clothing recycling and reusing. She hopes to attend the University of Texas in the future to obtain a graduate degree in media studies.
