Beyond Borders Film Festival
With good reason, Austin is well-known as the Indie film Capital of the World, and it’s no secret that our community is filled with talented and passionate storytellers. At Beyond Borders Film Festival, we recognize the strength of our local filmmaking community and the desire of filmmakers from beyond our borders to connect with us. This festival was specifically created to build bridges and make lasting connections between Austin filmmakers and creators from around the globe.
Our mission is to bring together filmmakers from both our local community and beyond—whether from other parts of Texas, across the United States, or around the world. We welcome student films, established filmmakers, community-driven projects and emerging voices. By requiring filmmakers to attend the screening of their own work, we create opportunities for real-world networking, collaboration, and the exchange of creative ideas.
Join us on the Second Thursday of month at Oribello’s Bar & Kitchen in Austin, TX for a night of diverse and inspiring cinema. The festival is free to attend with RSVP and purchase at Oribello’s. Experience powerful storytelling that knows no boundaries, and meet the filmmakers behind the stories in a unique and intimate setting.
