Ready to level up your craft and improve your demo reel?
This exclusive 12-week immersive acting and filmmaking accelerator is designed for serious actors and directors who want to create strong, cinematic work for their reels.
In this intensive hands-on course, a small group of actors and filmmakers collaborate to develop and shoot original short scenes on location, under real-world conditions. Every student completes three core projects in their primary role, either acting or directing. In addition, students participate in other projects in supporting capacities such as scene partner, crew, or assistant director, gaining broader on-set experience.
Guided by Stanislavsky & Meisner-based actor training and hands-on, on your feet filmmaking, participants receive tailored instruction throughout while actively rehearsing, blocking, shooting, and refining material.
Actors perform in three different short films with different partners and directors, expanding range and on-camera skills. Directors complete three different original projects and also participate in acting exercises to learn how to communicate effectively with performers and shape believable performances.
This is an intense, high-commitment program. Participants must attend weekly classes and be available for additional rehearsals on weeknights and at least three weekend shoots. While best suited for actors with some experience and directors who have completed at least one project, motivated beginners are welcome.
With limited spots available, this intimate program is built for creatives who are ready to work hard, grow fast, and leave with professional footage and real set experience.
This is more than just a class. It’s a creative career accelerator!

What Students Say
Highly recommend! For anyone trying to get an agent, build a reel, or anything else, you can pay $3-8k for a reel with scripts that have been used by hundreds of other actors or you can actually use scripts written by other students, collaborate, learn the creative process, and work with directors also learning their craft to build a reel that shows a diverse array of artistic direct while centralized on ensuring that you get screen time. It shows what you can do in varied mediums and that speaks better on a reel. You’re not in a soundstage following direction from someone who’s done it a hundred times for that exact script; you’re learning the creative process and the challenges of a set on a constrained budget. And everyone’s working to make it look as good as possible. ~ Cy Hudson, Actor
It’s a great space to grow, experiment, and connect with filmmakers who are genuinely invested in each other’s work.
~ Aliverdi Aliverdizada, Director of Photography
The Accelerator program was a great way to gain experience on several projects quickly and add to a portfolio. It was a good opportunity to work with many diverse actors and filmmakers on different projects to continue to grow in ability and knowledge.
~ Joseph Logan, Actor
This is great networking opportunity as well as a space to learn some basic filmmaking principles. If you’ve never been on a set, or acted in front of a camera or looking to work on film this is a great space/environment to try.
~ Don Denham, Actor
Reels Accelerator is the People’s Film School. It’s a series of unique opportunities to gain the quality invaluable hands-on experience you’d receive at a USC or an AFI, but free of their heavy expense and encumbrance.
~ Liam Mathison Farmer, Assistant Director
I was an outsider brought in to do effects for one of the shorts and I was very impressed with how committed everyone was. I was also shocked to find out the actors had no rehearsal because they nailed it right out of the gate.
~ Benjamin Martian, Special Effects
This was a challenging but extremely educational experience. It really forces you out of your comfort zone of perfectionism to see what you can accomplish when you allow yourself to just create without the time to get too bogged down in the doubts of the creative process.
~ Reneaux Ruffin, Director
My reel was super old, so this was a great way to both learn new skills and refresh my reel.
~ Cait Leigh, Actor
It’s a unique opportunity for either writer, actor, or filmmaker, especially those who are new to the industry, to gain experience.
~ Yan Zhang, Actor
