Wednesday, October 9, 2024 – AFM Writing Group – Write with Us! Short Film Screenplay Writing Prompts (ONLINE)

Join Austin Film Meet's bi-weekly online writing group, designed to support and inspire film, video and animation writers and storytellers of all levels working in any format such as short, feature, series, documentary, narrative, episodic and more.

Our sessions provide a nurturing environment to practice your craft, expand your skills, and achieve your writing goals. Each meeting typically consists of a short discussion of your writing objectives, an opportunity for individual feedback exchange, and free writing. We emphasize support, accountability, and constructive critique. These virtual meetings are a fantastic opportunity to grow as a writer. 

Whether you're a novice or an experienced writer, our group welcomes you to share your work and receive valuable insights. This group is intended for Austin Film Meet members and volunteers, however guests are invited to try it out and if you like it, please JOIN AFM to support our organization.

WRITE A SCREENPLAY TONIGHT!
We’ll be writing 3-5 page short film screenplays based on provided prompts. Join us and complete a first draft of a screenplay. Our prompts are designed for no-to-micro budget production in Austin and surrounding areas with limited characters and locations. YOU CAN DO IT!!
