Ready to level up your craft? Join an exclusive 12-week immersive acting and filmmaking experience like no other. This rare opportunity brings together a select group of 15 actors and 15 filmmakers to collaborate, train, and produce original scenes, on location, under real-world conditions. Guided by Meisner-based actor training and practical, on-your-feet filmmaking, participants will develop and shoot three cinematic short scenes, perfect for building a powerful reel. With only 30 total spots available, this intimate program is designed for serious creatives ready to grow fast, work hard, and walk away with real footage and real experience. About the Instructor — H. Cherdon Bedford / Filmmaker, Actor, Director, Austin Film Meet Founder
Award-winning screenwriter, director, and creative coach H. Cherdon has been performing her entire life, taking the stage at just 3 years old. With a background in live theater, touring musical productions, short films, and commercials, she brings decades of firsthand performance experience to the table. Her actor training spans a wide variety of techniques, with a strong emphasis on the Meisner approach and emotional truth in storytelling.
Cherdon has spent nearly 20 years behind the camera as well, working across departments on narrative, commercial, and independent film projects. As the founder of Austin Film Meet, she’s built a vibrant creative community that supports collaboration and growth for indie filmmakers and performers. She’s hosted more than 550 events for the community and assisted with numerous projects since the group was founded in 2008. Her unique ability to bridge the worlds of acting and filmmaking makes her the perfect guide for this immersive, real-world accelerator.
