potluck

Potluck dinners are a lot like indie film projects.

AFM Potluck parties typically happen 3 times a year.

There is a very special reason we choose to structure our parties around the concept of a potluck. Here’s why:

1. Much like making a film, a successful potluck is dependent on each part pitching in. This is an exercise in teamwork, contribution, and community.

2. When you make something, whether it be a movie or munchies, your energy goes into the thing you make. We’re basically saying that food that’s made for people you love is better for them than bought food.

Potlucks are typically held at a member’s home and ALL are welcome to attend, even newbies, family, friends and kids. Our hearts are open.

To attend, RSVP at least 24 hours in advance to me@austinfilmmeet.com with “POTLUCK RSVP” as the subject line. Tell us what you’re bringing & we’ll send back location details. Thank you!

Awesome! So glad you can make it. See you there!
