Need a website? Of course you do! These days your website is your calling card, and if you want a career in the creative or entertainment industries, a professional website that you can easily update is an absolute must!
WordPress is the premiere blogging and content management system for those seeking a website that is easy to set up and maintain. Just because your website is built using WordPress, doesn’t mean it needs to look anything like a blog. Nor does it have to display the WordPress brand. But, who can make sense of WordPress? You can!
Build-Your-Own WordPress Website Workshop
Learn the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. Learn the basic of getting a beautiful, polished site in a few simple steps. Learn to edit content yourself, manage your site’s navigation and leverage an array of existing plug-ins that will help make the site a fully functional, fully-customizable content management system (CMS). Upon completion of the course, a student shall be able to create a website using a template and modify the content of the website, add special features to the website with plug-in modules and choose where to host the website. This is an introductory workshop but may address more advanced issues as well. Workshop includes walk-through instruction using a large-screen television.
