Austin Film Meet & The Blue Theatre
Present a Rare Exhibit
Design and Art in Indie Media:
The Process of New Media Artists
The Blue Theatre is proud to present an Austin Film Meet Showcase Screening event followed by an installation entitled Design and Art in Indie Movies: The Process of New Media Artists, which is intended to showcase the work of Austin Film Meet’s members, as well as local indie film and new media makers. Art and design are integral to moviemaking, and are often the subjects or modes used to explore broader themes of process, collaboration, and storytelling. The exhibit showcases art and design related to indie film and new media, including concept renderings, set design and construction, special effects make-up and costuming design, story board art, animation, photography, and more. The Design and Art in Indie Movies: The Process of New Media Artists exhibit also serves as a platform for initiating future creative collaboration, along with discussion and feedback emphasizing the collaboration between Designer and Filmmaker.
Exhibit on Display November 13 – 30, 2010, 11:00am – 6:00pm Daily
This exhibit is intended to complement the exhibit entitled Making Movies, Making Opportunities presented by Texas Film Friday (an Austin Film Meet project) at Austin Conservatory of Professional Arts November 12 – 21, 2010.
