Calling all volunteers! Austin Film Meet is looking for a handful of a committed volunteers to help us throughout the remainder of the 2015 calendar year. If you are interested in volunteering, please join us at our next Volunteer Meeting to ask questions and meet the Director, H.Cherdon.

OPEN POSITIONS:  The following volunteer positions are open:

  • Web Promotions Director
    This  person will be responsible for developing and implementing promotional campaigns using our website, social media and media outlets. Training is available, but you must be comfortable using social media platforms and promoting AFM content online.
  • Membership Manager
    This person will be responsible for managing, organizing and increasing membership for our organization. Duties will include attending AFM events, welcoming new members, encouraging guests to sign up and answering general membership questions.
  • Hospitality Director (Events)
    The Hospitality Director will be responsible for overseeing the general customer service of our organization.
  • Staff Writer for Acting Advice Column
    This person should have a background in acting, stunts, or casting and be able to deliver 300+ word articles on various topics of interest to actors every 2 weeks.
  • Staff Writer for Film Production Column
    This person should have a background in film production and be able to deliver 300+ word articles on a different topic every 2 weeks.
  • Staff Writer for Screenwriting Tips Column
    This person should have a background in screenwriting and should be able to deliver 300+ word articles on a different topic related to screenwriting every 2 weeks.
  • Staff Writer for Community Column
    This person should have a strong interest in the local film community and will be required to deliver 300+ word articles on a different topics covering the film and video industry in Central Texas every 2 weeks.
