[joescrabshack]Wanna write something that may actually get produced?
This one-night workshop will challenge writers to complete a narrative-style, short film script under 5 pages, inspired by story prompts based on true stories. Writers are encouraged to write scripts according to a specific set of screenplay parameters. Each writer will be provided with a unique prompt. A wide array of prompts promises to render a plethora of interesting stories.
By adhering to the provided writing restrictions, writers will create scripts that are easily produced in Austin using extremely low budgets. Scripts written to the specs provided will be eligible for production in other AFM programs. However, writers retain all rights to their works and are not required to submit them for use in AFM productions.
All levels of writers are welcome, however, please have a general understanding of screenplay structure and format. We will NOT be covering screenplay structure.
