A young man grapples with a traumatic childhood memory and the disappearance of the beautiful woman next door — when his neighbor reemerges over a decade later, Ben knows he must have closure.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:

BEN – Male, Caucasian, Age 25-30

Ben struggles with closure after an incident with the beautiful woman nextdoor and her abusive husband. The traumatic experience haunts him even in adulthood and ultimately creates a barrier in his marriage. He wants to be present for his wife, but at the same time, he cannot bring himself to move on from the reoccurring dreams he has. He is thoughtful and caring yet burdened, weak, and reserved.

VANESSA – Female, Hispanic or Latina, 25-30

Kind, caring, good at reading people. Vanessa tries her best to be understanding of her husband, who has become emotionally distant from her. She feels her marriage deteriorating but it seems like she’s the only one trying to restore it.

YOUNG BEN – Male, Caucasian, 9-13

Burdened with the desire to be grown-up, young Ben is drawn towards the woman nextdoor and tries to protect her from her abusive husband. He is quiet, curious, passionate, and noble. Non-speaking role; strong facial expressions are a must. Some stunts required.
