A tale of two best friends Michael ( a hispanic gay man ) and Dulce ( a traditional latin woman). Michael has shown Dulce by taking her to the Women’s March that she is much more than a potential wife and/or caretaker. Inspired Dulce decides it’s her turn to take a stand and participate is “A Day Without Immigrants” protest. While shopping she asks Michael to partake in the event with her. Tension builds with his hesitation to do so, because he doesn’t completely agree with the protest, but wants to support his best friend. He torn between standing by what he believes or taking a chance on friendship and supporting her through it all. As Dulce waits for him at the coffee house table the next day will she disappointed or relieved only his decision to show up will tell….

Character Breakdowns:

Hispanic female, looks to be late 20s-mid 30s, sassy but traditional

Hispanic male, 20’s to early 40’s very kind loyal gay best friend of Dulce’s who has perplexed mentality towards Dulce request
Waitress: open to anyone
