Craig Archibald’s One-Time Weekend Workshop

Coming the last weekend in March, Los Angeles-based Craig Archibald ( is offering a two-day intensive acting workshop in Austin.

This is an excellent opportunity to augment any work you may already be doing with Austin’s wonderful stable of acting coaches, charge-up your acting skills, gain unique insights about the “show business” landscape, and better-achieve your acting goals. Craig is considered an invaluable resource by all of his numerous working actor clients, and this is your chance to enlist Craig as your personal ally, too. If you’re serious about being the best and most successful actor you can be, this challenging, enlightening and FUN workshop is for you.

March 27th, 6:30PM-8:00PM: Kick-off, introductory talk by Craig at the Vortex Theatre’s Butterfly Bar; Informal meet & greet at the Vortex Theatre’s Butterfly Bar

March 28th, 9:00AM-5:00PM: All day workshop at The Vortex, w/ 1-hour lunch break* at 12:30

Participants will be given two short scenes to prepare (one for each day; usually one comedy and one drama). Participants will work in front of Craig both days, and will also work on camera, with their scenes available to download and take with them.

Craig started acting in 1978, and began his award-winning film and television career in 1993. He has studied and performed in New York, Los Angeles, London and Toronto, including work with the likes of master teacher Sanford Meisner at NYC’s Neighborhood Playhouse, as well as mentoring with Sir Ian McKellen at the Royal National Theater of Great Britain. He has worked with many great film directors, including Bennett Miller who currently has “Foxcatcher” in the running for this award season. The many actors Craig has worked with include Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Eric Roberts and John Slattery, to name just a few. Craig’s clients have been nominated or won Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Tony Awards and SAG Awards. He has also nurtured the young careers of many working actors, with his most recent success being Keene McRae who stars with Reese Witherspoon in the current film “Wild”.
