AUSTIN WIDE SEARCH FOR LEAD AND SUPPORTING ROLES FOR A YOUTH CINEMA COLLECTIVE FILM.
WHO WE ARE: The Creative Action Youth Cinema Collective is a group of diverse teen filmmakers from across Austin who gather to make films about their communities. YCC partners with other community stakeholders to make gripping and compelling cinema about the real issues young people face in their lives. YCC films have appeared at the Austin Film Festival, the Do It Your Damn Self Film Festival, and the San Marcos Film Festival. YCC is a part of Creative Action, whose mission is to spark and support the artistic, social, and emotional development of young people in Austin. COMPENSATION: This is a student film experience for young actors who wish to make challenging work beyond typical avenues available to students. In addition to food, credit, and copies, we will be providing a small honorarium for your participation.

Auditions will be held by appointment and each slot will be 45 minutes long. We may be interested in having you come in a second time to read alongside another actor. We will schedule those on a case-by-case basis.
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be available for filming on weekends in April, May, and June (6-8 weekends, not necessarily both nights). Filming will generally be in a 6-8 hour block, sometimes more, but never to exceed 12 hours. If you provide scheduling conflicts, we will do our best to work with you.

PLOT SYNOPSIS : After Logan experieriences a a mental health crisis she and four other teens from the Austin area are sent to to a group therapy environment. Within the mandated group they they grow personally and together through the formation of unlikely friendships.
