Kids Commercial Workshop with Sara Gaston: December 14th!

This one-day film intensive will involve honing your commercial acting skills. We’ll explore improv-only commercials, spokesperson-style, 2 person commercials, bite-and-smile, the on-camera interview and more!

Great for experienced kids who want to up their game and theatre actors who want to learn commercial skills or are seeking representation.

Parents are encouraged to attend the last 45 minutes for playback, a Q&A and a brief discussion about the business of being an actor.

Students will be learning how to prepare so when an opportunity comes along, they are ready! Class size will be limited to 12 students so reserve your spot now!

Students of Sara’s have booked parts in commercials, films and television; booked stage roles (including the Alley); are routinely accepted into talent agencies; and have been accepted into acting programs locally (the Alley, TUTS), in New York, in L.A., and at the university level.

Sara Gaston has been acting for over 25 years. She recently performed to rave reviews in Main Street Theater’s “Time Stands Still”. She has performed on various stages throughout Houston including the Hobby Center, the Alley, Main Street Theater, Stages, Unhinged, Mildred’s Umbrella and the former Actor’s Theatre of Houston. She has also worked in almost all areas of the business including commercial (local & national), industrial, film, television, comedy, animation and voice-over. She received a B.A. in Drama from the University of Texas in Austin and has continued her studies with various instructors including: Jeff Perry of Scandal (also a founding member of the famed Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago), Kim Rubenstein (formerly of the Long Warf Theatre) and Dave Razowsky, Rick Kuhlman, & Sheldon Patinkin (Second City, L.A. & Chicago). In addition, she assists local casting directors and has insight about what goes on behind the scenes.
