Synopsis: We are casting for an original gospel stage play entitled, Save Me From Myself. Loretta Simmons is a young, professional woman who has lost her way and her faith. She feels trapped in a one sided marriage and stuck in a dead end career. Both aspects of her life leave her unsatisfied and frustrated. She reaches out to an old friend who invites her to volunteer at a rehabilitation home where she realizes that she needs to be saved from herself.

Character Breakdowns:
Leon – a very charismatic, former Baptist Minister with a drinking problem. Leon is a very light spirited man in his mid to late 30’s. He struggles with his calling of being a minister and this has lead to his drinking problem.

Natty – a shy woman in her late 30’s early 40’s. She suffers from Schizophrenia, Bi-polorism, and a low self-esteem. Her only motivation is “the good rev” Leon, whom she has a crush on. She is very fragile at times, but can be a handful when it comes to her passion for Leon.

Crew Positions Needed:
Stage Manager – someone who is detail oriented, attentive and can manage the back stage cast and crew during a live production. Needs to be able to know the script and be able to direct cast members for stage appearance.

Stage Crew – people who can move scenery and work with the stage manager behind the scenes during a live production.

Lighting Director – someone who can operate a follow spot.

Camera Crew – looking for 3 camera operators who can video with XL-1 miniDV camcorders. (Camera’s and accessories provided by company)
