Brown Rag Films is seeking cast, crew, and others’ help for a new short aimed at moderates inspired by our national political food fight: The Shakedown. We’ll be shooting in central Austin in 4K the weekends of December 7-8 and December 14-15th. We need actors, people to help with wardrobe, set design, social media campaigns, etc. Compensation is negotiable, up to $150 stipend for the lead actors: (1) an 80-something male German-accented liquor store owner; (2) a 40-something male Russian-accented mobster (you’ll need to dress well); (3) a skinny teenage boy (you’ll need to learn to do simple yo-yo-ing); (4) a strong man in his early 20s (you’ll need to roll on a skateboard). We also need two women who can pose for photos in late November or early December: (1) a Millennial who can climb rocks and (2) a model for a sexy men’s magazine cover. Actors will audition mid-to-late November and must be available both shooting weekends from afternoon until after midnight. Send headshots, links/examples of work, and a statement of how you’d like to participate to randy[at]brownragfilms[dot]com.
