Hello! And welcome! This is the the objective of the AFM Hospitality Team: To make everyone feel welcome at our events! We build community by connecting people and it starts with a genuine interest in helping others in the film and video community.
Are you good with people? Outgoing? Love making new friends? Can you follow directions and show up reliably? This could be the position for you.
The AFM Hospitality Team consists of a handful of volunteers who contribute time as staff at our events. Volunteers are needed at every event to help. We ask that our Hospitality Team help with at least one event per month but of course, we’d love your help at all our events.
No experience is necessary. But please be friendly, like meeting new people and interested in film and video.
Hospitality Team volunteers might:
- Welcome guests at our events
- Make each and every guest feel they belong
- Helps guests sign-in using tablets or paper
- Make or locate name tags for guests
- Invite guests to join our membership
- Answer general questions for guests
- Setup and tear down welcome table
- Operate welcome table
- Setup and tear down other things for events
- Assist with food and beverages at some events
- Place and recover directional signs for guests
- Help guests who might get lost on their way
- Duties may vary based on the event
