Have you written anything lately? Do you need accountability to friends who care? Do you need feedback in the writing process before you get to a finished screenplay? Maybe you need to join an Austin Film Meet Writing group.
Our Writing Group meets
ONLINE via Teams
every other Wednesday.
During our online meetings, we typically start with quick introductions and ask each writer to tell us a logline from a current or recent project. Then, we encourage attendees write a short film screenplay based on your choice of our provided prompts, however writers may work on anything they choose. Near the end of our meeting, we may review one or two of the screenplays written to prompt, for those who desire feedback. We really just want to build community and help you write more!
This group helps our members develop a solid support network of individuals who will be able to follow your progress through the various stages, and possibly even lasting writer partnerships. It’s happened before!
Once your script is properly formatted and has been polish to (what you think is) perfection, we invite you to submit it to our Screenplay Read & Review for a reading and an in-depth feedback discussion.
We invite non-members to try this group free the first time.
