Have you written anything lately? Do you need accountability to friends who care? Maybe you need to join an Austin Film Meet Writing group. Some of these groups are for critique and others are simply groups who meet to write together. Some online, some in-person.
Writing Groups meet weekly or bi-weekly either online or in-person at various Austin locations, sometimes writer homes, depending on the preferences of the attendees.
The Austin Film Meet Write Together groups were created for active writers who simply wish to write while in the presence of other writers.
The Austin Film Meet Critique groups were created for active writers who want to share their work one-on-one with a small group of focused writers on an on-going basis.
These groups help our members develop a solid support network of individuals who will be able to follow your progress through the various stages, and possibly even lasting writer partnerships. It’s happened before!
Please bring either a PDF (for online) or at least 3 printed copies (if in-person) of a scene or two from the script you are working on to share. Writers will exchange work and offer constructive feedback. You may also want to bring your laptop or notepad.
